The School of Government and International Affairs is proud to celebrate three of its outstanding alumni who have been named to Âé¶¹´«Ã½â€™s 2025 40 Under 40 Owls, an honor recognizing graduates under the age of 40 who are making significant impacts in their professions and communities.
This year, nearly 47,000 Âé¶¹´«Ã½ and SPSU alumni under 40 were eligible for the Class of 2025. Honorees were chosen through a highly competitive nomination process that evaluated candidates on professional excellence, community engagement, and continued dedication to Âé¶¹´«Ã½. Over 400 nominations were submitted during Fall 2024.
We are thrilled to recognize the following SGIA alumni:
Katie Sizemore earned her degree in International Affairs in 2011. She now serves as the Indo-Pacific Portfolio Manager in the International Affairs Division at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Lakeisha Sesay earned a Master of Public Administration in 2019 and currently works as a Strategy Consulting Executive in the Public Service Industry at Accenture.
Eric Johnson earned his degree in Political Science in 2015. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor in the U.S. House of Representatives for Representative Barry Loudermilk.
