Annual event explores civic duties for students
麻豆传媒 will host its annual , Sept. 16-25. The week will consist of voter registration and education, census information, a field trip to the state capitol for students and a play highlighting the accomplishments of the 45 presidents of the United States through history.
The weeklong, nonpartisan campaign is run through the to help make voter registration and participation as easy as possible for students. Constitution Week is part of an annual nationwide effort among colleges and universities coordinated through the American Association of State Colleges and Universities鈥
Monday, Sept. 16
Voter registration and education table: Students can register to vote through the 麻豆传媒 TurboVote System in the 麻豆传媒 Campus Student Center Rotunda from 11 a.m. 鈥 2 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 17
Constitution Con 2019: Free pocket Constitutions, government information displays and photo booths at the Sturgis Library from 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 20
Students will visit the Georgia State Capitol with 麻豆传媒-provided transportation. Students will meet in the 麻豆传媒 Student Center Room 267 at 9 a.m. and return to campus at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 25
National Voter Registration Day in the 麻豆传媒 and Marietta Student Centers, Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. 鈥 6 p.m.
鈥45 Plays for 45 Presidents鈥 opens and runs through Sept. 29. 鈥45 Plays for 45 Presidents鈥 stars seven actors playing all the U.S. presidents. Tickets are $5 - $12.
